Nihahhat's Staff Application Form

All aliases: Nihahhat, istackr, Mason L., meltdown2

Age: 11

Posting style example: Here's the thing. I am too young to be on most forums, but I assure you I will try my best to have somewhat decent grammar.

Are you in or were in any mods? If so, specify: MBElite, MBAdventure (not official yet)

Specialties: Level Building, Texturing, Skyboxes, Music, Sounds

Why would you like to be in the staff? Tell us why: I love being a part of a team. MBE2 seems so organized and well thought-out so I would love to be apart of such awesomeness. I know many people are looking forward to this great mod and being apart of it would make me feel, well, special. Razz

Level Building:

In 2009 I discovered the Level Editor and learned how to use it. I loved making fun levels in the Level Editor and I know how to work the Level Editor pretty well. In 2010 I discovered Torque Construcor (I never use QuArK) and I've learned how to make high-qualty interiors. Level Building is really fun for me because , um, I guess it's just the feeling of beating your own level in record time right after creating it step by step. Right now I make about 2-3 levels a day (this used to be 5-6 levels a day but now I force myself to make higher-quality levels) with fun challenges, themed texture choices, and epic curvies. One level on average takes me about 2-3 hours. I also have some knowledge on Moving Platforms.

MBP released level:

Grassy advanced level for MBElite:

The first level of MBElite, with new scenery, signs, and awesome curvies:

An older level with old scenery yet has EPIC CURVES (to be remade)

A random tut for MBElite with new textures and cool curve-pole thingies:

Somewhat newer Intermediate level with old scenery and good opporitunity for path-finding:

Texturing:

Just recently I've learned to make decent textures, both tiled textures and seamless frictions, using Paint.NET. My best textures take me about 45 minutes.

Seamless means can be tiled wothout a bad edge, right? lol just checking.

Futuristic grid texture:

Neutral grid texture:

Seamless ice texture:

Seamless water texture:

Skyboxes:

Not that long ago I learned how to make skyboxes using Terragen 1, or TG1. I can only make simple skyboxes, but they are still pretty good. I plan on learing how to make animated clouds for my skyboxes, too.

Teal skybox:

Cyan skybox:

Magenta skybox:

Music/Sounds:

Recently I've learned how to use FL Studios to create my own sounds and music. The only music I've made so far is techno...but that's because it's for Elite. I CAN make non-techno music. I also have a program called Audacity, which I use to modify and export sounds. For more proffesional music/sounds, I can use my electric piano with built-in sounds and music mixes. It sounds better, but I use FL Studios to make 100% my own music.

Have you played Mario Kart? Yep! It's one of my favorite games.

Do you play Minecraft? No. My brother plays it, however, I am not interested in playing Minecraft.

On a scale of 1 - 10, how proficient are you at creating smooth curves and slopes? ABSOLUTELY 10. I love adding smooth curves in my levels, wherever I can. I believe curves makes a level look so well-edited and awesome.

Why are you a good level builder? I'm always focused when making levels and determined I can make good ones. I managed to make over 60 levels for MBElite within a time frame of 3 months, and right now I am replicating 40 of those levels JUST to make them higher quality. I understand all of the neccessities for a high-quality level: Fun, original challenges, Organized and not confusing layout, challenges made not frustrating, good texture choices, and I make sure everything is well edited, especially CURVES.

Thanks for considering me! If you are only going to accept me for one job, it should be level buiding, becuase that is what I'm best at.

No, I am not requesting the staff version.

My apologies...it wont let me post links so I had to modify them. I hope you are still able to view them. If there is another way for me to post the links, please tell me.

Nihahhat, you have been invited to join MBE2 as: Level Fixer
You would be asked to add slopes and curves to levels for people as well as possibly any other level based modifications. You would be under the direction of Ian Valentino.

You have also been invited to join MBE2 as: Remedial Sound Creator
You would be asked to create or find any sounds specifically directed to you.

Options:

1) Choose not to accept the staff version and complete and return assignments. You would not have insider information.
2) Wait until all of your mods have been released, then join.
3) Quit all mods and join immediately.
4) Postpone reply.
5) Decline offer.

I would choose No. 1, but could that change after my mods are released?

No. 4 until I get an answer.
